My forms are weighted at the bottom, middle, or top; each finding a way to hold its center. The black and white patterning of naked raku is graphic inky drama embedded in clay. This atmospheric firing is collaboration with chance, a controlled accident. Each piece is one of a kind. The urns are finished with stacked pebbles. Fortuitously found in nature when one is unsure of the way to go, stacked rocks mark a path in an unfamiliar landscape.
