Using a unique process of pushing clay with personally designed tools, I decorate thrown and hand-built porcelain forms with lush designs. Influences from Art Nouveau and textiles provide movement to the texture on the form. My newest body of work includes porcelain quilts, influenced by memories of my mother who taught me an appreciation for fine craft. Sodium vapors in the firing glaze the pieces, enhancing and interacting with form and surface. I make my work and teach pottery in Atlanta, GA.
