Every piece begins as a painting that is hand-cut and layered with recycled leather and cork or wood to create one of a kind jewelry. As an art teacher, I taught my students to work with their mistakes and had to follow my own advice after a mistake on a commission piece. I cut the piece off the stretches to experiment and my jewelry business born. Four years later, I have a home studio that employees two other artisans to create these little pieces of wearable art.
