I have been weaving and teaching for 47 years. I started out as a painter but changed course when I took my first weaving class. In my collages, I combine found objects with small textiles that I design. Natural treasures, such as leaves, twigs and stones, are stored until they are needed in a specific collage. I work intuitively, combining and arranging elements in order to make a piece whose energy is greater than the sum of its parts.
