Ian wallach is a found object artist and potter who brings a madcap collage aesthetic to functional ceramics. Each piece is hand thrown on the pottery wheel. Once each piece is fired to maturity an individual collage is then created on the surface using food safe ceramic decals. The artist utilizes found imagery from science fiction, true crime, the occult, to camping, fishing, children's books or advertising in a subtle way. This process showcases and documents our collective history.
