Giselle’s Peruvian roots have been a huge influence in her work. Unique memories from colonial Peru can be seen in much of her jewelry line. She has used flowers as symbols of appreciation and as offerings or tributes. The floral elements are created as individual pieces of jewelry. They are precisely arranged to become the contents of what she likes to call “shrines.” Kolb’s series of shrines was inspired by the need to be reminded that natural beauty exists to be contemplated and admired.
