At a young age, I learned a strong work ethic and the value of mastering a craft from my grandfather who was a stonemason. In 2003, I started working with glass and, by 2005, I was determined to master the medium. I create glass spheres containing optical illusions by using rods of glass and a torch. This form of glassblowing allows for more detail and clarity than traditional techniques. The illusion on the inside appears to go beyond the sphere while the opposite side contains 2-D patterns.
