The Chic Bohemian is a handcrafted knitwear and jewelry cottage industry established in 2013 by Cathleen Stephen (me). It exists to provide consumers with one-of-a-kind handcrafted knitwear items that incorporate modular and freeform techniques and feature beaded elements. With nearly 30 years of design experience, my work combines many types hand-dyed and commercial fibers to create highly textured and energized pieces. The richly colored jewelry reflects and compliments the highly textured character of the knitwear and features handcrafted and natural elements applied freely and whimsically through bead embroidery and bead weaving.
