I learned to sew early on from my mother who made her own clothes and hats (and of course I had the best doll clothes).These days I've been doing more felting and I find that my pieces are becoming more textural due to the variety of fibers, yarns , and threads I add during the felting process.I've been purchasing a lot of the materials I need from small businesses, and like other artists, I'm trying to make good choices about who I buy from and how and where those materials are produced.
