Making jewelry combines my desire to create beautiful objects with my interest in metalsmithing techniques. I am drawn to the way various ways of forming something as hard and unyielding as metal can result in delicate, ethereal shapes. I use both traditional and contemporary techniques to work on precious metals, gemstones, and pearls. The shapes I typically make are abstract, yet reminiscent of natural forms.
