The American Craft Wholesale Show 2009

THE AMERICAN CRAFT COUNCIL WHOLESALE SHOW 2009
PRESENTING NEW ARTISTS, NEW CATEGORIES & NETWORKING EVENTS

February 24-26, 2009, Baltimore Convention Center

Open to the trade only – REGISTER NOW ONLINE

The American Craft Council sets the standard for wholesale shows, offering buyers the widest variety of craft selected through a rigorous jury process. More than 700 artists will present their latest jewelry, clothing, furniture, home décor and more at the 33rd annual American Craft Wholesale Show in Baltimore, which will include a series of special features:

• CRAFT4KIDS: Artists will present their latest lines of clothing, furniture, toys, home décor and more designed especially for children.

• GREEN CRAFT: Responding to contemporary issues, this category features artists incorporating recycled, and/or eco-friendly materials and techniques.

• CANADIAN ARTISTS: For the first time the American Craft Council opens its doors to neighboring Canadian artists. (A handful will exhibit their one-of-a-kind creations along side U.S. artists.)

• NETWORKING EVENTS: A kick-off breakfast Tuesday morning (Feb 24) and a fun celebration Wednesday evening (Feb 26). Click here for a full schedule of events.

• SCHOOL-TO-MARKET: To help bridge the gap between educational programs and the marketplace for sculptural and functional craft, the Council has invited craft students from Virginia Commonwealth University and Savannah College of Art and Design to curate a section of their work. An unparalleled opportunity, students will gain first-hand experience in booth design, installation, and interacting with the public.
