My lathe turned vessels are made using unusual exotic burls or reclaimed woods. I incorporate classical shapes,inlays,tints,hand tooled designs,the natural inclusions of the wood into my artwork. I combine my singular woodworking with a lifelong passion for collecting unusual organic elements:semi precious minerals,fossils and various other finds from nature. The combinations allow me to capture the unpredictable nature of wood in one of a kind vessels.The finishes are of a high gloss lacquer.
