Namu Cho was born in Seoul, Korea in 1955. He has been operating his studio in Maryland, where he currently resides. He has won numerous awards, notably the Louis Comfort Tiffany Foundation Award in 2003. Namu makes fine art jewelry such as rings, bracelets, necklaces, and broaches. He primarily uses Gold, silver, and steel with stones as parts of the design. His main techniques, Damascene, fusion, and Damascus steel patterning allow him to express his concepts.
