My love of woodworking began in my early teens. My father, a surgeon by profession, had a full woodworking shop in the basement where I often helped him with projects around the house. Though I had earned my degree in Architecture, I decided I would pursue furniture design after coming across the work of Peter Kramer, a furniture designer from Little Washington, Va. I learned the craft the old way. I served a year long apprenticeship and a three year journey ship and opened my business in 1997.
