& Mary Anna Barratt
I create natural botanical wearable art by capturing botanical items in copper at room temperature. In 1976 this electroforming method was my high school science project. This art has been my sole vocation and my passion. I travel around the world to collect samples from nature—historic trees, vineyard leaves, noteworthy plant cuttings—and return to my studio, where I cover them in copper. Often finished with lush patinas and accent paint, each piece is one of a kind.
