Tom Armbruster Displaced Tonality

Tom Armbruster, Displaced Tonality

Tom Armbruster’s delicate groupings of abstract glass shapes feel so relevant to me this election week. Each linear shape is individually cast and is unique, but then is combined and balanced with other unique forms to create a cohesive whole. The lines twist and wind through one another, sometimes gently curving, sometimes abruptly changing course. Armbruster knows he has found the right equilibrium when he has created “an interdependent tension in the relationship between parts.” His philosophy reminds me that it is this same curious balance that allows unique individuals to live together in community.

Can't get enough craft? Neither can we. Heck Yes Craft is a series of visual blog posts with a simple mission: to show off amazing work. Come back on Fridays for more.
