Alanna Nissen
Prior to joining the Council, Alanna worked for the Minnesota Private College Council as an administrative assistant and accounting associate; she also served as program administrator for the Mayo Innovation Scholars Program, which connects teams of undergraduate and graduate students with Mayo Clinic researchers for work on innovation, entrepreneurship and intellectual property. She is a graduate of Grinnell College, where she studied art history and gender and women’s studies, focusing on feminist art and the connections between craft and modernist art movements. She also holds two certificates in library science from Minneapolis Community and Technical College. Alanna is passionate about craft, an avid (if amateur) maker, and a volunteer for Secondhand Hounds animal rescue.
