We had a chance to talk with Heller Gallery's Vice President, Michael Heller, while we were at SOFA 2011 in Chicago. He's been in the craft world for a long time and has seen the studio glass movement grow and mature into the art form it is today, evidenced by breathtaking displays of glass work in Heller's booth and around the show. Glass artists Preston Singletary and Dante Marioni go way back. Friends since high school, Marioni introduced Singletary to glass and they worked together during the early part of their careers. More than 30 years later, they were asked to collaborate by Blue Rain Gallery on a new body of work.
