Carol Shaw-Sutton's Woven Willow Work

“A study in elegance and restraint” is how we described the subtle wall pieces of lashed and painted willow by Carol Shaw-Sutton back in the early 1980s. As a 1977 winner of the ACC’s Young Americans competition, Shaw-Sutton was selected to show several works for the American Craft Museum’s “Young Americans: Award Winners” exhibition, held January 29 - May 9, 1982.
