Why Craft Now? More Views from Penland

Is there a choice implied in this question? For some, making seems to be an imperative, a life-changing creative impulse. For others craft seems to be a way to address issues of sustainability, ethics, and politics, reaching beyond the craft field itself. Whatever the case or the cause, we are pleased to post the final responses from the participants in the Penland Convenings to the question posed.

Why do you craft now? What do you think? We'd love to hear from you!

Why Craft Now? More from the Penland Convenings

Why Craft Now? Why, indeed! Is it because craft adds to our understanding of our world? Or does Craft simply enable a multitude of ways for expression? Read what our October Penland Convenings participants have to say on the subject. What do you think? We'd love to hear from you.
