New artists, alternative
work, and a Green Craft component will be on display at The American Craft
Show in San Francisco at Fort Mason Center, August 15-17, 2008. Celebrating
its 33rd year in the Bay Area, this much-anticipated event delivers the nation's
leading 250 artists and their latest designer jewelry, furniture, clothing,
home decor and more to the public. Guests can indulge in wine tastings from
top vineyards, lectures on craft and design and entertaining and informative
demonstrations throughout the weekend.
NEW IN 2008
Green Craft - Artists using found, recycled, eco-friendly
materials and techniques will be highlighted. Shop for style and the environment!
AltCraft - The American Craft Council opens the doors of the prestigious
San Francisco show to artists that utilize DIY (“Do It Yourself”)
practices and creative repurposing of materials. This unique loft space will
feature work from 10 artists, who will be selected through a special jury
process.
