Deck the Halls with Sustainable Wood Ornaments

Photo gallery (4 images)

The holidays sneak up on us all, and I'm guessing a few folks have yet to finish decorating, so my pick for today's post is purely practical. Last weekend I spied these intricate, laser-cut ornaments made by Matt and Amie of Timber Green Woods. The duo harvests dead and dying trees at the Timbergreen sustainable tree farm near Spring Green, Wisconsin, and turns the wood into ornaments, cutting boards, and more. I love these miniature snowflakes, and even if you don't have a tree you can still use them to top off your wrapped gifts. You can even have them engraved for a more personal touch. And, if you happen to be in Vancouver this weekend, you can pick your ornaments out in person at their booth in the One of a Kind Show December 8-11.

Can't get enough craft? Neither can we. Heck Yes Craft is a series of visual blog posts with a simple mission: to show off amazing work. Come back on Fridays for more.
