Last week American Craft magazine was invited to the Minnesota Magazine & Publishing Association 2012 Awards celebration to honor the magazine. While magazines win awards based on circulation size and type, I am happy to tell you that American Craft magazine was awarded 16 total medals in our category of Association Publications – Under 30,000 Members. The magazine was awarded seven gold, seven silver, and two bronze medals! American Craft won the gold in overall excellence and design, swept the categories of feature articles and editor’s letter, and received more awards than any other publication at the ceremony.

The publication excellence of American Craft magazine is well known by our members and readers. Your letters of support and reflection have been documented and shared through our letters to the editor in each magazine. Members also share their positive comments at every opportunity we have to meet and talk about craft. Our entire ACC team enjoys hearing about how excited members are to read each issue to learn about artists and see what our advertisers are offering in new exhibits, education, and objects for sale. Your response continues to motivate us to bring you stories that continue to shape the world of contemporary American craft.

Congratulations to the entire magazine team for their outstanding efforts and recognition by their peers. Thank you for your continued support of ACC’s work and our coverage of contemporary craft in American Craft magazine!
