Elizabeth Morisette of Fort Collins, Colorado creates playful objects that reimagine the ancient arts of weaving and basketmaking for the 21st century. Using recycled or repurposed materials, she links the machine-made and the handmade, transforming cast-off consumer waste into new forms. This show is part of an artist residency at Fort Lewis College. The artist will also create a site-specific installation with students and will give a talk and workshop.
