Asian Arts & Culture Center presents Family Art Day, an afternoon of visual delight and creative fun, Saturday, March 2, 2013, at the Center for the Arts, Towson University

"Shadow Puppet Theatre: The Tiger Tales," 1 p.m. & 3 p.m., Mainstage Theatre: In celebration of the lunar New Year, the Chinese Theatre Works, based in New York, brings its humor-laced shadow puppetry to audiences of all ages. The company blends China’s 2000-year history of shadow puppetry with new techniques in its award-winning Tiger Tales, based on popular Chinese folktales and literature. $10 general; $5 AA&CC members and children age 12 & under.

Workshop: Paper Arts by Colette Fu, 1 p.m. & 3 p.m. (2 sessions), Center for the Arts Atrium: Photographer and artist Colette Fu leads this engaging, hands-on workshop where participants will learn pop-up paper techniques and make a Snake New Year’s card. $10 per participant; $5 AA&CC members. Pre-registration required by Feb. 25. Each workshop is limited to 25 participants age 8 & over.
