Lacoste Gallery presents "Contemporary Spins on Blue and White Ceramics," a group exhibition of 18 internationally renowned artists: Sandy Brown, Sam Chung, Cynthia Consentino, Ken Eastman, Michelle Erickson, Suzuki Goro, Wayne Higby, Sin-Ying Ho, Ann Linnemann, Bodil Manz, Warren Mather, Miller and Schmidt, Nathan Prouty, Paul Scott, Richard Shaw, Kurt Weiser, and Masamichi Yoshikawa.

Blue has long been used by ceramic artists across cultures, from 12th-century Chinese royal potters to Islamic artists of the 16th century to 17th-century Delftware painters. With the blue and white tradition as the constant thread, the artists of this exhibition play with historical conventions and radical commentary, crossing the boundaries between the decorative and high arts. This exhibition is in conjunction with events on the theme of blue and white at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Office for the Arts at Harvard Ceramics Studio; and Ferrin Gallery.
