WGGB’s goal is to increase the public’s knowledge about fiber arts and to encourage people to pursue fiber arts as a hobby and creative activity. The guild has monthly meetings, a resource library, and equipment rentals. It also sponsors weaving classes at Bloomsbury Community Center in Catonsville in cooperation with the Catonsville Recreation and Parks Council. Approximately 150 weavers, spinners, dyers, and related fiber artists from central Maryland make up the current membership. You can also meet guild members demonstrating at the Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival in May.

Stop by the Baltimore Open Studio to hear the fiber artists of WGGB spin a yarn about their work!
