Show Programs
Maker Demonstrations
Artist demonstrations take place on the show floor for the public at all four of our shows (Baltimore, MD; Atlanta, GA; St. Paul, MN; San Francisco, CA). ACC show artists and artists from partner organizations in each city provide a glimpse into the processes, materials, tools, and techniques used to create beautiful handcrafted objects.
Artist Conversations and Discussion
At ACC’s Baltimore show, we present expanded public programming that features conversations with prominent craft artists and authors. This presentation series will be recorded and made available online after the show.
Professional Education Workshops
Leveraging the energy of our Baltimore wholesale show, the Council offers free workshops for makers and buyers.
Show Awards/Jurors
Each ACC show offers Awards of Excellence selected by jurors representing the field. Four awards are given at each show, including three for general excellence and one for booth design. The Council presents a panel discussion at each show to allow jurors to talk about the awardees and the reason they were selected for the awards.
School to Market
Hosted at the Baltimore, Atlanta, and San Francisco shows, our School to Market program bridges the gap between educational curriculum in craft and the marketplace by providing undergraduate students a venue for a curated, collective exhibition of their work. We partner with educational institutions to provide this unique opportunity to gain valuable insight and exposure to the craft marketplace.
