More than 850 of the country's leading craft artists will gather under one roof to present
their latest hiqh-quality, handmade work to the public - at the American Craft Baltimore Show - the largest juried,
indoor craft show in the nation.
The highest quality of handmade jewelry, furniture, clothing, home décor,
and more, will be available for purchase at the Baltimore Convention Center, February 23-25, 2007.
New to the Show:
CRAFT4KIDS: More than 50 artists will present clothing,
furniture, toys, home décor and more designed especially for children.
GREEN CRAFT: A brand new category featuring artists
using recycled, found, and/or eco-friendly materials and tecniques.
SEARCHLIGHT ARTISTS: Selected from the nation’s
leading craft colleges, museums and residencies, 15 artists who have never
exhibited at the show have been invited to present and sell their work in
a stunning gallery space on the show floor. Maryland interior designer and
craft collector Judith Weisman will curate the Searchlight Artists Gallery.
DEMO STAGE: Lively demonstrations including woodturning
and clay throwing will take place throughout the weekend.
SCHOOL-TO-MARKET: To help bridge the gap between
college and the marketplace for students, the Council has invited two exceptional
colleges – Kendall College of Arts and Design of Ferris State University
(Grand Rapids, MI) and Virginia Commonwealth College (Richmond, VA) –
to debut their top students’ work at the show.
